Meet Dr. Susan Abookire
Hello, I'm Susan. With a background in electrical engineering and aviation systems, I found my true calling in healthcare. Over the past 20 years, I've had the privilege of leading healthcare organizations, serving as a chief medical officer, system chief quality officer, and Chair of quality and patient safety. I'm also an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, where I teach on patient safety, high reliability, and systems design.
But beyond the titles and the accolades, I'm a passionate advocate for the healing power of nature. As a certified Forest Therapy guide, I've seen firsthand how nature can restore, rejuvenate, and inspire us.

I'm also the Chair of Nature and Forest Therapy of Canada, and for the past 15 years, I've been part of the faculty at the Banff Centre, delivering leadership development experiences in nature. I believe in the transformative power of nature, and I can't wait to share this journey with you.
